Gladalan White produces medium to large sized white bulbs. Can be grown as an autumn or spring crop in the more temperate parts of the country. Sweet and mild, they are great cooked or roasted, or even better raw in salads and sandwiches.

SoilĀ The soil should be free draining and not contain excessive nitrogen which will result in excessive foliage growth at the expense of the bulb. The main requirement for onions is potassium, so apply wood ash or potash prior to planting.
