I have a permanent ileostomy and therefore no large bowel. I would like to know if fermented foods like kifir are good for me. My food is only digested in the stomach and small bowel and then enters a pouch on my side, and is emptied several times a day.
Would the fermented drinks etc be of value and safe for me to make and consume
