Water kefir is a light, slightly sweet, probiotic-rich drink—and it’s a breeze to make.

What You’ll Need:

  • Kefirko Kombucha Maker (4L)

  • Water kefir grains

  • 4 cups (1L) of sugar water (¼ cup sugar dissolved in 4 cups filtered water)

Step 1: Prepare the Base

Dissolve the sugar in filtered water and let it cool to room temperature.

Step 2: Add Your Kefir Grains

Pop 1–2 tablespoons of water kefir grains into the jar, then pour in the sugar water.

Step 3: Let It Ferment

Cover with the strainer lid and let it ferment at room temperature for 24–48 hours.
Taste it after a day—longer fermentation equals less sweetness and more tang.

Step 4: Strain and Serve

Use a kitchen strainer to separate the grains. Keep them for your next batch!
Flavour your finished kefir with berries, citrus, or ginger for an extra kick.
