This product is very effective in promoting a robust fermentation rate of milk kefir. Whilst it is not an essential ingredient for the fermentation process at all times, it certainly gives the microbes a big feast on which to happily gorge themselves. It is really good to have some on hand for when you want to give the milk kefir microbes a kick along to speed up the fermentation rate.

Fantastic!

I asked Nourishme Organics to delay postage as the temp was 40 degrees which they did. The grains started producing kefir almost immediately (slowly on the first batch but perfect by the 3rd batch) and have multiplied to the point I will need to give some away. Very happy with the result and pouring kefir over my oats daily now :)
