Skinny neck but nice heavy duty bottles

I bought these bottles as I’ve been having trouble getting my second ferment of water kefir fizzy. It gets fizzy in reused plastic bottles but I’ve been trying to cut out plastic. I haven't been able to achieve fizz on these bottles yet but will keep persevering.

The neck on these bottles is also quite skinny and my funnel doesn’t fit inside. It’s been difficult to get my fruit (defrosted frozen berries) in and also out at the end.
